Hospital Criticized After Running Raffles For Vital Organ Transplants

Kings Park Memorial Hospital is under scrutiny for holding online, and in-person, raffles for organ transplants which typically are only accessible through year(s)-long waitlists, or being wealthy enough to skip the poors-line.
One such raffle was attended by a patient who bought two $50 dollar tickets for a chance to win a liver transplant. You can watch the recording of their reaction when the winning ticket was announced, and neither of theirs was it.
The hospital had caught a little flack earlier in the year when they had posted a kidney [transplant] giveaway on their social media platforms. Their, now deleted, instagram post was screenshotted, and shared with nightmareworld.org.
